Curriculum Vitae

Idit Ben-Simon started her Hebrew teaching career at the Rothberg International School at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where she earned her Hebrew teaching certificate and B.A. in education and geography.  After moving to the U.S., Idit taught Hebrew in various contexts, gaining insight and understanding of hte process of language acquisition.

She graduated with an M.A. from Middlebury College School of Hebrew in Vermont, completing her studies with a research paper on the use of social media content in language courses.  She is passionate about incorporating content relating to environmental issues, social justice, and Israeli culture in her lessons.  Idit uses a communicative approach with a focus on meaning and fluency, connecting the class to real life.
