Ruby Lal comes to Emory from The Johns Hopkins University, where she was as assistant professor in the Departments of Anthropology and History, and Associate Director of the Program for the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality. She received her B.A., M.A. and M.Phil in History from the University of Delhi, and her D.Phil. from the University of Oxford. Her first book, Domesticity and Power in the Early Mughal World, was published summer 2005 by Cambridge University Press.
